The time will come when winter will ask you what you were doing all summer. ~Henry Clay.Laziness is the state of mind when we have disinclination to an activity or exertion despite having the ability to do so. Whenever we start feeling lazy it means something is wrong in the way things are getting processed by our mind.
There can be different ways by which laziness is originating, it could be because
- You do not have a plan.
- You are feeling tired.
- You are having many things in your plate and you just feel like ignoring everything.
- You are occupied with some dominant thought that is making your mind wander.
- You are overwhelmed with things that you just don’t know what to do.
- You have eaten a lot.
- You are not seeing results so you are ignoring present moment.
- You are feeling low.
Due to laziness not only we loose that particular moment but also virtually put our mind in garbage to attract more negative thoughts. Therefore, what ever the reasons for laziness are; laziness should be avoided at any cost.
Following these tips can be helpful.
- Constant stimulation of thoughts.
- Keeping oneself self-disciplined
- Refocusing the mind when it starts to wander.
- Preparing a plan for the day.
- Taking proper body and mind rest at proper time.
- Taking proper food.
- Keeping company of good people.
- Doing activities that can be quantified and therefore giving you sense of achievement.
- Avoiding distractions
- Proper intake of fluids
