Nothing exists outside the present moment. Future is the creation of the present action. Actions are always done at this moment only; there is no straight line; the past and the future are illusions and exist to the degree we focus our attention on them right now. 

We create the past and the future by imagining them in the present.  But we don’t even exist outside the Now.

So the idea of creating freedom, prosperity, happiness and wealth in the future by constraining oneself in the present is nothing but a fool’s errand.  That future will never arrive as long as we are creating confinement and scarcity in the here and now.  What’s the point of working to create a future of joy and freedom if our present reality is just the opposite?  If we want freedom and wealth in the future, we have to seed its creation right here, right now. 

We should focus more of our energy on improving the quality of our present reality instead of projecting all those improvements into the realm of someday.  We need to constantly ping ourselves and ask, what I can do to make the present happier. By making our present reality as enjoyable as possible, our motivation will soar and we would be working in a state of joy instead of a feeling of obligation.

Most of the time we are caught saying, “One day when I’m rich, I’ll do this and that”?  Deep down we also know that it isn’t a lack of money that’s holding us back — it’s just fear.  Therefore we need to find a way to do those things right now, if only on a small scale?

Therefore, all we need to do is stop seeking happiness in the future and instead look for ways to create it right now. There is no someday, everything is only right now. 

If our current life path isn’t a joyful one, we need to turn around and take a different path.
