There is nothing more valuable to us than our body, which further implies our health. Thus, keeping it fit and in shape is very much important. This can be achieved by properly planned workout. Choosing the best workout routine consists of knowing what level of exercise to start with and having specific goals that can be completed.
While some believe that aerobic exercise, cardio is a effective way to get in shape others argue that strength training......
..... i.e. resistance exercises, lifting weights is the best way to go.
So, Let me share with you today my research for a Perfect Workout.
Set a goal for your workout, This is very important. Doing a workout without a goal, is like driving a car without knowing the destination. So have clear goal, it could be muscle building, weight loss etc.
Along with your goal, tracking your performance is also important .Its important to know if the workout is helping you or not i.e. are you moving in right direction.
Start with warm up exercise. Spend at least 5-10mins for warm up .You can either do some simple cardio or light weight lifting.
Too long workout is not that benefical.Staying too long will reduce the intensity of your workout, so spending 30-40 min for your workout would be ideal.
Make sure you drink lot of water throughout the day if you regularly workout. Its important to keep your body hydrated. Apart from before and after exercise, make sure you drink water throughout the day.
Try to have a protein shake or energy bar before and after your workout, this helps to stimulate the muscle growth.
Don’t stick to the same workout routine for too long, or your body will adjust to the stress level and you won’t be getting an effective workout. For strength training, change your routine every few weeks. For cardio, it’s best to cross train rather than, say, to run every time.
If you doing cardio i.e either running on treadmill or cycling try to incorporate hill program. These will make you stronger and make your limited workout time even more effective.
Ideal plan would be to alternate 2-3 days of high-intensity strength training with 2-3 days of high-intensity cardio.
Lastly I would advice that try to workout along with friends ,if you are a couple ,try to workout together, it helps.
Hope that my tips help you. Stay fit. All the best.
