Safety tips for Mountain Biking

  • Protective gear i.e mountain bike helmet during the ride is an excellent lightweight and well ventilated protection.
  • Always ensure that bikes are properly maintained, and carry toolkit, spare tube(s), appropriate food, water and clothing..
  • Also, ensure that lights are appropriate for road use and wear reflective clothing.
  • Plan ahead—about 20 feet ahead. At times you’ll want to stare down that 2 foot-diameter log under your wheels, but keep one eye on the trail ahead and picture a line where you want to go.
